Diocesan Services Fund: DSF serves the common good throughout the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. The more than 60 programs covered by this fund require all of us to consider the needs of others. Whether it is the elderly, sick, incarcerated, or poor, the Church has a duty to offer the compassion and healing power of Christ Jesus.
Each parish is assessed an amount annually. This is a separate fund. If we do not cover the assessed amount through your contributions, our parish must make up the difference from our weekly contributions.
Archdiocesan Second Collections: The Second Collections are actually national collections which are approved by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). These collections help to provide support and aide to many various ministries and outreach programs throughout the United States and the world.
FunFest: Our annual fundraising event for the parish. This is our parish bazaar which is held each year in October. The money raised from this event is used to support the many ministries and groups which serve the people of our parish and community.

Wills Momentous events like a milestone birthday, the arrival of a grandchild or retirement are a time to celebrate and reflect on where your family has been and what the future might hold. It is also a chance to think about the values you hope to pass on to future generations. One way you can ensure that your values endure is through will planning. Will planning is the highly personal process of deciding how your assets will be distributed after your lifetime. If St. Vincent de Paul Church has been important in your life, you can also include a gift to support our future.
Review your will every couple of years to ensure that it has kept pace with your life. A new marriage, divorce, birth, or death of a family member are events that should trigger a review to make sure that your will still protects the people you love.

But, when you donate your publicly traded stock you have owned for more than one year to a qualified charitable organization such as St. Vincent de Paul Church, you enjoy two major tax benefits: • You will be exempt from paying capital gains taxes on any increase in value (taxes you would pay if you had otherwise sold securities) • You are entitled to a federal income tax deduction based on the current fair market value of the securities, regardless of their original cost.
